Guild Ranks

The ranks within the NuGen correspond to the player’s own level and authority within the guild. However, everyone is to treat everyone else with an equal level of respect.

Rank How to Get Promoted * Perks
Initiate n/a – This is the rank when you first join the guild. None
Alt n/a Minor, which change from time to time.
NuGenite Be generally helpful to your guild mates; Be active in guild activities (help with group quests for those in your area, talk in guild chat, etc); Mature use of the bank facilities**. Members also require a minimum of 1 recommendation from another guildie. Access to the guild bank; guild-funded repairs; Allowed Alts (1), who will be placed in the Alt rank.
Veteran Provide consistent help and support to your guild mates; Be active in guild activities (instance runs, help with group quests, talk in guild chat, etc); Mature use of the bank facilities. Members also require a minimum of 3 recommendations from other guild members in order to qualify for veteran status. Access to the guild bank; guild-funded repairs; Allowed Alts (3), who will be placed in the Alt rank.
Defender Alt n/a Minor, which change from time to time.
Defender  Continue to provide help and support to your guild mates; Be active in guild activities (instance runs, help with group quests, talk in guild chat, etc); Mature use of the bank facilities. Members also require a minimum of 10 recommendations from other guild members in order to become a Defender. Any Alts will also go into this rank. Access to the guild bank; guild-funded repairs; Allowed Alts (5), who will be placed in the Defender Alt rank.
Legend Requires 20 recommendations from 20 different guildies. This is the highest rank obtainable by guildie votes. Alts will be this same rank.  All of the above requirements will of course still need to be met and maintained in order for this rank to be attained. Access to the guild bank; guild-funded repairs; Allowed Alts (Unlimited), who will be placed in the Legend rank.
NuGeneral Only way to get to this rank is be to chosen by the officers. There is more of a thank you and a nod to them as awesome guild members than anything else. This is for the pretty special guildies who keep on giving consistantly. Or people who have done the guild many great services. Any of their Alts will also be of the same rank. Access to the guild bank; guild-funded repairs; Allowed Alts (Unlimited), who will be placed in the NuGeneral rank.
Officer Officers are chosen at the sole discretion of the GM and other officers. Their purpose is to oversee and manage the guild, its members and activities.
Guild Master Supercede Riande.

Promotions: How They Work (And Who Will Get Them)

As you spend more time in the guild, you should become known to your fellow guildies. The NuGen Reloaded appreciate friendly, helpful, active members above all else; depositing items and money (while always much appreciated) is not grounds enough to make officers promote you.

Due to time issues and other reasons–as a rule of thumb–promotions are handed out once a week, generally at weekends (when we’re most busy). If you do not have the patience to wait for a promotion (and to participate in guild activites during that time), then this probably isn’t the guild for you.

Who Will Get Promoted

* People who are active (and friendly!) in guild chat
* People who offer to help other guild members
* People who run instances with their guild members

Who Won’t Get Promoted

* People who are inactive/uninvolved with guild activities
* People who ask why they can’t get promoted after they’ve been here X number of days
* People who repeatedly ask for items from the guild bank and do not put anything back in
* People who ask for help and do not contribute anything in return

Kicking Inactive Members

We do not boast our guild numbers on the server, instead we like to promote activity. Therefore, inactive players will be removed from the guild within 1 month of inactivity.

For this reason, it is in your own interets to notify an officer if you are going to be offline for an extended period, so that you can still find yourself with us when you come back! ^^ (NOTE: Anyone who is removed from the guild due to inactivity is more than welcome to come back to us upon their return [provided the inactivity was the only reason for their removal]. If you have been away for a while and find yourself all alone upon your return, feel free to whisper an officer to get back in.)

Bank Usage

The bank is provided mainly as a trading area for players with professions (example: if you are a mining leatherworker, you could deposit some copper ore in trade for light leather someone else has put in (of course, if you’re doing leatherworking you’d expect to be doing skinning already, but you get the idea)).

Similar idea with green items: if you don’t have a use for them, stick them in the bank and let the enchanters get at them. Obviously, we understand that you need to live, so put whatever you’d rather keep in the auction house and save up a little nest egg for yourself.

The idea is that whatever you take from the guild bank, try to put it back.

Also, the guild bank is not a dumping ground, so do not drop vendor trash (grey named items) in any of the bank tabs, please. Anyone who puts grey items in the bank tabs will have them returned to them. Repeat offenders may get the boot.

No one (except the GM) is able to withdraw gold directly from the guild bank. Gold is used for member repairs and to purchase more bank tabs. Do not ask to borrow money from the guild bank. No one has this privilege: not even officers, and not even the GM.

* Promotions / Demotions are ultimately the decision of the Officers and the Guild Master.

** We operate an ‘eye for an eye’ policy; for everything you take out of the guild bank, you should put back an item of similar quality within 24 hours.
