Hey Guyths!

Bout time I pulled my finger out and shoved in a respective blog. For this one let’s just see where it goes shall we? Most likely just end up being a summary of what we have for you at the NuGen and how you can help turn it into a community.

Catrinna and I have been running the NuGen (in all its forms) for a couple of years so I reckon it’s safe to say we know what we’re doing and we create a good balance. She’ll tend to deal with sutff outside of WoW, which is why I get the position of GM as when it comes to dealing with people…she’s crap :)

I guess I’ll be using the blogs for the presentation of addons and follow that up in the forums, rather than tell you what or how I’m leveling. And I’ll be throwing in some fun stuff for you too.

So, on to you! We love the social aspect of WoW, it’s the glue that keeps us playing when we know we should stop. Here are the ways you can immerse yourself into the NuGen and expand your WoW experiences

1) The Forum. This is a wonderful place and once we have enough people contributing it really does become a site you check 3/4 times day. It’s a place for you to connect with your guidlies outside of WoW and ask for help without disturbing your game time. It can be anything from ‘Does this bear head make my bum look big? to ‘What are the best theorycrafting sites?’ it can also be a place for you to share your non WoW related interests, chances are as we grow they will be other poeple out there that love it too. We’d really love for you to introduce yourselves and possibly stick up a mugshot so we can put a face to name.

2)Facebook. Yes we have a facebook page. Enter it if you dare. For those who don’t really use the forums but a re big facebook checkers, feel free to use this to post whatever the hell you like too. You’ll find us when you search for NuGen!

3)Twitter. Social networking has come along way even in the few years we’ve been playing WoW. When we had three guilds running simultaneously we had the one twitter feed to kind of encapsulate that. Since then we changed it to @NuGen_Riande and i keep up with what WoW news I can.

We’re through the very first week of the guild being active so I’ll save some thoughts for next weeks. Just a quick gratz to all those who got promotions and a thanks for joining really. With this guild you really do get out what you put into it. If you joined cos you wanted a guild tag over your head then fine but trust me you’re missing out. If you’re sitting in front of your WoW screen for what will be hours if you want to get to 80 then say Hi to the people you’re surrounded by and I reckon someone will say hi back.

Anyhoo, signing off for now. Next time will most likely be a few addons to hepl you ge tthe most out of your WoW, especially if you’re a newbie
